I don't have much time.. sorry!!! We are here in another city today and we have a tight schedule.
You asked how long it takes for packages to get to me, well they take almost a month. They go to the mission offices and then out to us. I got my birthday package just in time, I got it last week and I love the things that was in it. I love you all so much! THANK YOU!!! Thank you for everything, this is the best birthday ever!!
I love you all!

Hey momma! My companion is writing his parents so I decided to write a little bit more.
I just received an email from a friend that makes me feel weird now. I feel light, I feel old, I feel not like the old me. Maybe this is the new me that God has been trying to bring out of my shell... I've changed, I'm not that young man anymore who doesn't want to be with my family and only want to hang out with my friends. I see the importance of a family and more and more I want to be with you guys and yes even play Ticket to Ride with you momma. I miss you guys more then ever, but hey I only have one more birthday without you guys. My love for my family members has grown so much stronger, and it still grows with each passing day. I have just hit another point in my life, and its just going to start getting better. Mom I love you so very much, I would never take back any of the board game times that we played together, or the dice rolling with grandma. I love all my family and I thank you all so very much, you guys are my life, and my love, and my light through dark storms. Never give up what you have for something that you know you wont get, its not worth it. Try to strengthen what you have now, and if it be the will of the Lord he will give us those things that we have worked hard for. I love you all so very much, mom, thank you for everything that you have given me, from the little notes in our lunches to teaching us to live and follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
i love you so much,
Elder Timothy V. Gomm

Summer is on its way - November 14, 2011
Elder Gomm got word that his grandparents were in a little accident this week. So this is what he had to say:
NO! GRANDMA and GRANDPA are you ok?! You guys can't be doing things like driving off ridges while I'm still here on my mission, better yet not ever. I love you grandma so much, so listen to my mom and take care of yourself. You still can play with your glow in the dark dice grandma, that's still ok to do, haha! Be safe.
Mal, I can't believe my little sister is growing up. Mal the first few weeks are the hardest, but it gets easier and is alot of fun. Don't just focus in one guy and careful with those poor boys hearts, they're a little bit more fragile then you think. haha! Love you sis.
Hi mom, well this week has been alot better, we have been finding alot of people to teach. The branch here is great. We were in a branch meeting and I was chosen to lead a children's choir for church, I guess music and me go hand in hand, I have always been one to following music most of my life.
Its starting to get alot hotter, and rainy.. the humidity is just killing me.... but it's all good.
About the package you have sent, I'm going to have to try really hard not to open it before my birthday.. no I'm kidding I'll wait, like a good little boy. haha!
Well, mom I hope all is well, thank you for taking care of grandma, make sure you play Ticket to Ride with grandma, or even dice, you know how much she loves her glow in the dark dice.
I love you all,
Elder Timothy V. Gomm

My new area, Young Uruguay - November 7,2011
Ugh! What a change. Well, we made it to Young, but what I didn't know what that I'd be opening the area... so president gave me alot to do. Opening an area and in my first change as senior companion. Well its been great so far, we got to our house and well it was left like a dump. So we spent the whole day just scrubbing it all down, what a chore, then we went around talking to some members and getting to know the area. It hasn't been easy but I have been trying to do my best.
The city of Young is great, there are only 4 missionaries here, and well, this city is alot bigger then Dolores. There are two branches here and I am in Young 1st branch . The branch president is really great. I am loving the branch here, there are so many faithful people here. They are really strong in the gospel.
My companion and I are new here in Young. My companion is from Peru and his name is Elder Leyva. He is a great missionary, his parents are mission presidents in Peru, and well he is only 18 years old and has been out for 41/2 weeks. I hope I can help him out with being new to the field, we are having a great time. We just have to figure a few things out about the area then we will be off and working.
I am trying my best, I think Heavenly Father really likes throwing me in deeper water to help me swim.
I have learned many things while living in Dolores, things about family and Faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. i am so glad that I'm here on the mission. I have never learned so much in so little of time, my mission in almost half way over. I wish I could explain everything I am feeling but I don't have much time to say all that I want to. I just love being here.
Well, I love you all so very much,

November 4, 2011 Halloween Memories and Where I am off to next.
Mom you asked me about Halloween here and what my favorite costume was growing up and I have to say.. my favorite costume....well, there was the greaser, the 50's guy, the pirate...I'd have to say batman! Yep my number 1 is batman!!!
Moms chili for Halloween.. that was the biggest thing that I was missing this holiday...I always remember having chili for Halloween, but this year and next I guess I'll just do with a bottle of soda and potatoes.
Malorie is leaving home!!! wow! Is she really at that same step that I was at not to long ago.. well, my advice is to her, don't give up your social life, and your social life isn't your nose in your computer or a book or your ear to the cell phone. Always have fun, safe fun, in bed by 11 o clock and getting up at 7 in the morning. it will work miracles, I know from experience.
Well we finally got our changes last night, that is why this email is a few days late, I'm headed to a city call Young in Rio Negro. This will be my first time being a senior companion with Elder Leyva. I'll be heading there tomorrow morning, so I'll be able to say goodbye to some people here before I leave. Elder Menchaca will be training an oro, fresh from the CCM.
Wow! I'm already at my 7th change, but this change will be a little bit different, it will be 7 weeks long, the reason for the delays is that President Heaton will be flying to Buenos Aries for a conference with the area presidency and all the mission presidents will be going.
So we are going to have a lot of fun, in Young there will be only 4 missionaries again, in another small town, but hey it will be great.
The Baptism was so great, I was able to baptise Ronaldo, he literally is like Captain Moroni, a sober child. I love the kid, I truly believe that he will make difference in his family. They are a great family.
Baptism of Ronaldo October 29th.

Me and Elder Menchaca my companion here in Dolores Uruguay
These pictures in the fields are of my and Elder Miranda while on division.
We have a message to share.
The field is green but will soon be WHITE.
We walk everywhere, might as while have fun while doing it.
Elder Miranda one of my greatest friends here in the mission.
Elder Gomm in Dolores Uruguay
See what a baptism makes me do... Jump for Joy!
This was an activity we did with the ward members here, we had a mini CCM night.
These are beautiful flowers everywhere, they are called passion flowers in the USA
Lovin' every minute of it.
I'm seeing so many different ways at looking at things. I can see the little boy that I once was and the man that I will soon become. Mysterious and miraculous things happen here in the mission, I'm so grateful for serving the Lord, My God.
I love you all so very much, I'm thinking and praying for you all.
Love,

God I am ready to serve where you send me. October 24, 2011
Well, this week has been great we are going to have a baptism for a young man named Ronaldo this Saturday. He is 11 years old and is very excited. He is a great kid.
So we have exchanges next week, on the 1st of November, and I don't know if president will take me up or keep me in as junior companion, but whatever is the will of God and I'm ready to serve. This past week has been a blast, I'm talking more then ever in front of other missionaries and people. I am sharing my testimony with no doubt at all on what I am saying.
We have started a sacrifice week, were we will drop everything and use the counsel of Preach my Gospel. We are going to get the work here moving and keep it moving even through changes.
I was sad to hear about Aunt Dorothy Ann.... I cryed when I heard about her death, though I don't remember much, I have always had gratitude for her and Uncle Bryant. Send my sympathies and tell them that they are in my prayers, and that time is only a thing created by man. Be strong and rely in Christ, because its through him that we can be clean and be with our families for all eternity.
So I probably should explain the photos huh?

Ready Set Pull!!!!

Now for the toughest one of all......Go Little Man Go!
These pictures are of me and the other missionaries here in Dolores. It was today after a game of soccer, it was great just to have a little bit of fun.
Elder Gomm giving a treat to a kitty.
Did I tell you how wet it gets here?
Must tract through rain, sleet and never mind just rain and sleet.
.
Some say I have rosy cheeks, what do you think? I think it is wind burn.
Singing in the RAIN!!
I thought these shoe covers were waterproof?
Just to show you how much water is on e the road....Crazy.
Elder Gomm and Elder Miranda (Panama) on exchanges.
Well I love you all so very much.
